After his debut in September 2008 in Fashion East and Topman’s Man Showcase, here’s the latest Christopher Shannon runaway collection for Fall 2009, casted and styled by John Colver in London Fashion Week!
Originally from Liverpool, Chistopher graduated at Central Saint Martin’s with an MA in menswear, but his strong background includes important collaborations, such as going on worldwide tours with Kylie Minogue and co-designing with the legendary London stylist and accessories designer Judy Blame.
Shannon says: “Someone described me recently as a sportswear tailor – but I genuinely am not interested in tailoring. It’s an approach to sportswear. My aesthetic comes from taking things that I like that are garish and making them slick. I like giving pieces a high quality finish. It’s not about referencing an era, it’s about working with a garment and seeing it from a design point of view.”

Skye is also co-founder and Creative Director of Dossier, a new bi-annual arts and culture magazine. Beautiful landscapes are not the only things to discover amongst her fashion, portraiture and commercial works: on her previous path, Skye Parrott was also Managing Editor at Self Service and Studio Manager for Nan Goldin.

Ericailcane is the name for the gender and the specie, it’s a fantasy word caught from a fantasy novel. And it’s a wild path between lots of broken-up animals that merge from our past to show us raw and disenchanted novels, antropomorphic creatures as allegories of the human weakness.
“Civil war” is the name of the exposition, open the 18th of february at Galleria Patricia Armocida, ongoing until 24th of april.
